Citadel Skateboarding is a proud sponsor of the 4th Annual Rockville Skate Jam going down Saturday May 3rd. We will be organizing the competition once again this year and look forward to seeing all you rippers. Bring your family and friends for a day filled with fun activities, including Morning Yoga, Skateboard Competitions, Bounce House, Music by Live DJ, Food Vendors, and so much more. This is a free event!
Schedule of activities:
900 a.m. – 1000 a.m.: Morning Yoga
1000 a.m. – 1100 a.m.: Competition Check-In and Practice
1100 a.m. – 1230 p.m.: Beginner Skateboard Competition
1230 p.m. – 100 p.m.: Alan Bryers Tribute
100 p.m. – 300 p.m.: Intermediate Skateboard Competition
300 p.m. – 430 p.m.: Advanced Skateboard Competition
430 p.m. – 500 p.m.: Free Skate
Skateboard Competition Format
The Skatepark competition comprises of up to 3 Rounds: Qualifier, Semi Final and Final. Rounds are dependent on time and the overall number of athletes competing. Skaters will compete in a 3 minute Jam Session format for all Rounds. Each Jam is divided into Heats of 3 or more skaters. Advanced Final will be Single Run Format.
Judges score the athletes based on their overall performance during the 3 minutes of Jam Session. The scores from each run will be averaged. Combined rankings from all Rounds will provide the final rankings.
Judging criteria based on: STYLE, DIFFICULTY, USE OF PARK, CONSISTENCY and ORIGINALITY
